❡ Explore more: For our general readership, we maintain twelve months' worth of research digests on this index page. If you'd like to investigate the academic literature on homeschooling more extensively, the best place to start is Google Scholar, the special academic search engine from Google. Just enter a search term or phrase of interest (“homeschool,” “unschooling,” “classical homeschooling,” “deschooling,” etc.), and Google Scholar will return a list of research publications that mention your topic. In addition, for research prior to 2020 in particular, see the detailed bibliographic essay by Kunzman & Gaither (2020), “Homeschooling: An Updated Comprehensive Survey of the Research.” 🔎
❡ An online conference: In the spring of 2021, Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government hosted a series of online panel discussions about homeschooling that included contributions from homeschool researchers, advocates, critics, and parents. The videos of all those discussions are archived on the Kennedy School's website and they provide a good overview of the full spectrum of opinion on homeschooling policy, theory, and practice. 🖥️
