🌐 Homeschool Geography & History: American Heritage Sites
The year 2025 is the 250th anniversary of the beginning of the American Revolution, and the year 2026 is the 250th anniversary of American Independence, so for the 2024–2026 homeschool years we are taking an American Heritage tour that invites you and your homeschool students to explore parks, historic sites, and national monuments all across the United States. Print out our American Heritage Calendar, get out your homeschool atlas and almanac, and follow along with us! Subscribe to our free homeschool newsletter to get more posts like these delivered right to your mailbox all through the homeschool year. 📫
❡ We set to-day a votive stone: If you want a wonderful long-term project in history and geography for your homeschool, explore the Historical Marker Database online (hmdb.org) and make a plan to find all the markers that are listed in your local area. Add any new ones you know of that are missing, and add new photos or descriptions for the ones already included. Your students will gain a new appreciation for your local community and will learn a wealth of new information about history and geography. 🏛️
